Jetprop gave me a call on Easter Sunday, suggesting a little Multiplayer flight together, so we met up at Bakersfield, in Cal Central Valley.
He chose his Douglas DC-3 monster, and I opted for my Cessna 182 RG.
We travelled Southwards, crossing the San Fernando Valley to land at Van Nuys Airfield
From there, we set a flight plan to land at Palm Springs, traversing the Los Angeles Valley Eastwards.
Flew through the gap in the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains, to land safely at Palm Springs.
A very enjoyable, Multiplayer afternoon was spent!
One thing I always miss in FS 2004 Multiplayer, is the option of using ATC during the flights, so today, Easter Monday, I will brush up on my Radio Communication skills with ATC, but this time during a, non-Multiplayer, Solo flight.
For this, I will use my trusty Beech Baron 58, with its full Bendix-King Radio Stack, and its full compliment of necessary instrumentation for tracking the various Radio Beacons, and occasionally corresponding with Air Traffic Control, with and without; "Flight Following".
Its always good fun using Radio Navigation, and ATC,
