I'm trying to set up the gamespy account to get on the multiplayer and it says that it can't connect to GameSpy. I went through the port tutorial and made sure that I have the right ports open. What's up???

what the heck am I doing wrong?? I tried that application that checks to see if the right ports ar open, it says that they are all blocked. I've turned off the firewall on my router, and windows firewall. Nothing seems to help. I'm so frustrated.

Gamespy sucks, and is not nessasary.

All you need to do multiplayer, is FSHost.

ok, downloaded FSHost, now what??

I've gone through the optimizing tutorial, I think I'm ready to go.

-Click the FSHostClient.exe







-This will pop up:





In the IP address window, enter: fs.netfrag.org like I did, and click 'Search IP for sessions'





-When it finds SimV's server, click Connect at the bottom. The chat window will pop up, oh, I see you're there.

I fly online almost every day on SimAviators and I lead a tuesday night fsx flight.
