Hi There,

i want to know what the average data tranfer rate send/ receive  is when flying fs9 online? I want to fly online, but in South Africa Broadband internet is not so cheap, and data bundles are expensive still. If someone can give me an idea what the data size is over a period, say 10 minutes, i will appreciate it!

Thanks

Jakes

Are you using FS9s internal multiplayer engine or another method?

I think this thread http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1089583712 in the Multiplayer forum should help you get started with MP in FS9 ;)

thanks, Ozzy,

this will certainly help connecting and will get me up playing. i am still not sure about the data transfer rate - here in SA internet is expensive, and to give you an idea - if it should take 1MB in minute, then for every 10 minutes i could buy 2X 2L coke's   ;D

thanx for the help!

Over here in England, Broadband Internet Access is obtained by a fixed Contract, and paid for by a fixed Monthly Fee, with speeds up to 8Gb/s available using the domestic telephone line.

So for us, it does not matters how long we are connected for Browsing, playing games, etc, including Multiplayer.

I think the case is very similar throughout the rest of the World.

Even the old "Dial-up" System was paid for by a fixed Monthly Fee.

My fixed Monthly Connection Fee is

we are lucky to get speeds up tp 510mb/s on telkom broadband with limited bundles of op to 4gig / month.

i will test the data rate bu normal multiplayer, i do not think it will differ that much. thanx anyway!

i guess in a way i am almost the luckiest one of all.  I pay roughly $35 a month flat rate for Broadband through Cable TV, and no matter how much i transfer in a month it is still $35.00 USD.  :P :P :P 8-)
