Decided to get into the multiplayer end of FSX.
Have been a flyer for a while. I would like to hook up with some folks for instament flights. Orienting into new planes. Full realism. Would like to improve my navigation skills as well as learn how to land that darn 747.
I do like the copilot option.
Wondering if there are any flight groups to join, or agood place to  hook up with pilots.
I also fired up my old msnmessenger hotmail account, found this good for sending files or links when flying enroute, shootin the breeze.

Welcome to the forums.

Most of us do our online flying using SimV's server (see stickies at the top of this section) generally Friday through Sunday.

Before hopping online for navigation lessons, I suggest reading ahead through the resources here: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... ard=school

I only use FS2004, so I am unsure if FSX is still equipped with a "learning center" section, but the 2004 one has some very good navigation guidance.

I would also suggest starting out on your full instrument flights with something small like a Cessna 172, and then gradually going up to a King Air or equivalent, then finishing your familiarization with a mid-sized jetliner.

With the proper setup, FSX and FS2004 pilots can fly together smoothly and nicely, and I'm sure that many of us will be willing to help you in the future.
