Winter Flying

I'll most likely be online on the following server tomorrow, which is Saturday, January 10th. I'll post specific times as we get closer to midday tomorrow. I am using this server because it has shown to be the most stable one on my system, and has been virtually trouble free for the other members here that have flown with me while using this address.

I was planning on starting out with a few flights in beautiful Alaska. I use FS2004 for all of my simming, and with this, I have installed the freeware Glacier Bay version 2 addon, by Holger Sandmann et al.
I still need to examine the coverage area for this addon, but right now it looks as if one route will be Juneau - Haines - Skagway. (Did it in reverse yesterday and it was awesome.)
For this type of flying, I would suggest bringing along a small propeller driven aircraft with a cruise speed not in excess of 200 knots. You also may want one that doesn't go too slow either, or you may have trouble getting over some mountains if we decide to take a few detours to explore the area.
If you have Glacier Bay, it is very friendly to float planes, with nearly all "major" land airports in the region having float plane ports in close proximity. You don't even have to worry about bring an amphibian...if all it does is float, that's fine.
If anyone needs addon recommendations, let me know.
Following some Alaskan flights, depending on what time it is, I may do some flying in the Northeastern region of the United States, along with flying either around Norway, the UK, or Switzerland. Aircraft recommendations for these areas vary, and will probably only be decided during the flight, when/if we decide to do more.
Finally, just out of curiosity as I plan future flights:
I've lost track of how many FS2004 Project Tupolev Tu-154M pilots we have on these forums, so a "show of hands" would be appreciated.
