Just something that was mentioned while waiting for tonight's hop to start - is there any interest in a glider hop?  Either start at the top of a mountain, or slew to an agreed height over the starting point to represent a tow launch.  Maybe fly a course around a couple of landmarks before landing.

Different hops for different gliders - modern fibreglass soarers, old canvas-covered gliders with open cockpits, hang gliders, etc.

I'll organise it if there's enough interest...

i think it is a good idea but it has to go over some sort of mountain and remote area.
