Simviation Aircraft with Split Personalities!!!??

I host "San Diego 2008!" on a regular basis and have learned that many of my Simviation aircraft, the Alpha Jet in particular, appear to other flyers as an entirely different aircraft.  In this case a Twin Mustang???

While it looks and flies just like an Alpha Jet to me, I can't imagine what it seems like to have an old war bird blast by at nearly 500 knots...  What gives?  Any thoughts anyone???  poolborg@att.net

Don't be surprised by that as that is absolutely normal in the Flight Simulator world. It always happens when one player doesn't have the exact same addon installed as that of the other player[s]. The only way to cure that is to install the exact same addon. If the player doesn't have the addon installed and another player is flying that one particular addon, the simulator will display the last known aircraft used by that player or the closest addon that is in the player's inventory.

Hi and thanks for the quick response.  I'm still real new to all this and while you make it sound simple enough, not sure what you mean?  What's an addon and is there anything I can do to fix it?  I don't have a Twin Mustang on my hard drive so I still don't get it?

My preferred option in Multiplayer is to always use one of the Default Aircraft... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

That way you can guarantee that everyone will see you, and each other, as the correct Aircraft. (It's the way the Flight Sims were designed...trust me!).

Otherwise, as Kat said, EVERYONE must have exactly the SAME Add-On aircraft, with exactly the same Textures, in their Hangar for it to work as you wish...;)...!

Paul....G-BPLF... 8-)...!
