FSX Multiplayer connection issues...

Postby Wii » Sat Aug 18, 2007 9:10 pm

I will be able to connect for about 2 minutes and then it says I may be logged onto another computer, so I make a new account and the same thing happens. I have a linksys wireless-G router with updated firmware. Speed is an unsteady 54.0 MBPS and the signal strength is almost always Excellent. This router says it was only ment for Internet and E-mail. Do I need to upgrade to a Wireless-N or is there a cheaper way? My routers draft is 802.11g. This is it: WRT54G
Wireless-G Broadband Router. I'm thinking of just getting the WRT300N
Wireless-N Broadband Router because it is compatible with online gaming. Then there is the WRT330N
Wireless-N Gigabit Gaming Router which is extraordinarily expensive, but from what I've heard, works great. Will the WRT300N
Wireless-N Broadband Router work with FSX do you think? :-/

Have you read and followed the directions in the mutiplayer router and firewall settings threads at the top of the mutliplayer section here?

I would most likely say it's just a problem with settings if I could take a wild guess... ;)

welcome to the mess we call the V, hope you get it figured out!

Just bought a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N today. I'm juuust about to install and see how it runs. It says it supports online gaming and it should cuz my friend has one and I can it there. The Linksys WRT54G ver. 6 should not be sold anymore due to a "BUG" in the system, it sends out a choppy signal.

It took a few hours but I have it running, now I'm waiting for FSX to boot up. I'm so anxious.  :-X
