When I choose to fly the (Promagstyle) China Eastern Airlines Airbus A340-600 and another player shows that he is flying a (Vicky) Air Canada Boeing 747-400, but when I view his plane. The model or exterior is the exactly the same plane that I am flying, what's going on here?

The other player shows that he is flying an Air Canada Boeing 747-400 and I am flying a Airbus A340-600 and when I look to see his plane, I am expecting to see a (Vicky) Air Canada Boeing 747-400, but I see an (Vicky) China Eastern Airlines Airbus A340-600.

Can someone please explain, how can I see the other players plane in Flight Simulator 2004. Thanks.

Both of you must have the same planes installed on the sim. So if one of you has a certain plane and the other does not you two can't see each other in the true plane. ;)

Unless you have the same plane installed, you are going to see the person most likely in the same plane that you were in when you joined the multiplayer session. :)

Will the planes displayed correctly, if all have all planes, but maybe the users have other tags specified for the aircraft listing (aircraft.cfg: [fltsim.x] ui_manufacturer, etc.)? Or does just the title or another tag (or file) need to be the same?

Most of the time the planes will be displayed correctly. I don't know about the cfg. file so can't answer that.
