fly fs9 on two PCs in same room

First, thanks to Paul & wealthyspoon for unraveling my freebee aircraft viewing quirey.

Without trying to teach grannys how to suck eggs, for anyone else wanting to practice formation flying, I found that by running fs9 on my two PCs and :

Both
1. same field
2. same fs9 Flt.Plan (speeds 180kt) with Star at destination

Then
1. I take off the Second PC
2. join it on same Bband fs9 multiplay
3. put it on fsNav A/Pilot & FlyPP

I take off on first PC, join on fs9 & fsNav multiplays and go find the first one to practise formating on.

For some reason not both PCs can join on fsNav multiplay, so I only join the one I fly. Can anybody advise on this?                          luke

I'm afraid dear old Luke confuses me most of the time with queries like this...;)...!

So...What happens....?

You have both FS 2004 and FS Navigator installed and running on both computers....

You successfully connect to Sam's Server in Multiplayer using "FS 2004" on both computers....?

You successfully connect to Sam's Server in Multiplayer using "FS Navigator" on both computers....?

What goes wrong then...?

Paul.... ;)...!

P.S....and who is Multiplayer flying on the second computer... :o...?

The second PC as I said is on A/Pilot and on fsNav's Fly Plan

....Sorry confusing you Foz, I thought you were up to these things          luke

...only on a Tuesday, providing it falls in the 15th. of the Month, Luke....
...trust me...;)...!
LOL...!

Why would you want to watch FS Nav on the 2nd Screen.
If you have the Multiplayer FS Nav "RADAR" working on the 1st monitor you will be able to spot, and follow the 2nd aeroplane by watching the RADAR.... ;)...!

I can see all the other fliers on my FS Nav RADAR screen in Multiplayer, and maneuver to fly alongside them...(zoom in)...
...switch to outside view and you have a screen shot of all/both the aircraft in formation...!

Would that work, Luke...?

Paul...looking forward to Tuesday the 15th..... ;)... ;D...!

...AAhhhh....!

Now you kept that quiet in your first post, Luke... ;)...!

Now it makes perfect sense, (two of you!)... ;D...!

Can't figure out why FS Nav wont work on both computer screens though... :'(...!
...assuming you've got it installed on both computers...

Paul....now it's Tuesday the 15th.... ;D...!!

Have both copies been paid for?  Maybe FSNav is designed to look for multiple copies on a network and only run one instance unless they both have individual activations?

Just pondering possible reasons.

Wow.... :o...!

That's an interesting thought, John...;)....!

They (FS Nav) probably work OK after installing on both computers and entering the "key" on both, and both running off-line, but when on-line maybe that's something different?...interesting....;)...!

Cheers, John... ;)...!

Paul... 8)...!

P.S....What about running both computers on a Local Area Network instead of on-line Multiplayer...would that work..?

Hallow Venezuella, a long way from home.

You are very right, I'd be a mug if I bought two of each progs I use. What, a 77 OAP in my house in one room for gaming ?. Not on their nelly, this policeman can come and take the lot away and lock me up. Just before that though I will jump out of the window head first, I had a good life anyway.

As for your last instruction, is beyond me, am not very bright. Just on the net to practice formation flight on my own 2 or 3 oclock in the morning is great fun.

See you, and of subject.

boy its a simple reason why FSNav isn't working on your computer. did you change the port number of FSNav on the second computer? that makes all the dfference and relieves most symptoms ;)
