AIRCRAFT SPEED RECCOMENDATIONS

During the tours we have users which use a variety of Aircraft etc. Some of the aircraft are faster than the other ones, so im going to provide a speed reccomendation for each hop. This way everyone will be able to stay together without rushing. This is NOT a rule, just a reccomendation for the Simalive Flight Simulation tours,

Hello Chaps!

Ive tried a new method of planning the flight this week. Ive tried this to see how it would turn out and what you think of it. I also thought if i used this, it would eliminate spelling mistakes.

Cheers

Cheers Chaps.

It wasn't a case of me being lazy and not writing the Tour information, it was primarily done to eliminate any errors i could make.

Thanks, and welcome to the new flight planning for our tours.

Australia tour is Still in the planning stage. Expect a "General Information" Post within the next two weeks.
From within my planning info i expect the first hop of the Australia tour to go ahead on the 19th September. Please note, this is only the preliminary information.

Many thanks.

A very good flight, spoilt somewhat by some pilots flying third-party War-birds and fast Military Jets performing aerobatic maneuvers more suitable for the Sim V air races and air shows than a gentle General Aviation Tour and appreciation of the local scenery.... :'(...!

Note Jimbo's recommendation:
*************
AIRCRAFT TO USE

It is advised that you use default aircraft as other fliers can see you better, and you wont be replaced by something different within flight simulator. We always mostly fly fast GA Aircraft.
********************
Note, GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT!
Not a single default Cessna, Beech, or Piper piston prop in sight....:'(...!

It will be very disappointing if the forthcoming Australia Tour turns into a frantic race using Tornado's, F-22's, etc, military jets rather than a sensible flight planned tour with default GA piston prop Cessna 172's/182's, Beech Twins, Pipers, etc...:'(...!

Let's keep Jimbo's Sim V "Tours" separate from the Sim V "Airshows", "Air races", etc, and fly aircraft more suitable for each of them, otherwise the object of them will be lost...;)...!

Looking forward to the next "Jimbo Tour" with default GA Piston props again....:)...!

Cheers Lads...;D...!

Paul....G-BPLF.... default Beech Baron 58D....8).....!

Technically an Extra 300s is GA.

Just didnt feel like flying a baron last night......but next week it'll be back to normal.

Remember, we have been flying the General Aviation, piston prop "TOURS" for a long time now, starting with Nemo's tour of Great Britain, followed by Jimbo's various tours.
The rules of the tours were set out in those early days, and are gradually getting forgotten by new pilots more familiar to flying fast jets.
It is constantly pointed out that ONLY the default aircraft are suitable for the Multiplayer General Aviation tours....using touring aircraft!....;)...!
The original object of flight planned and navigated tours is getting lost...and it becomes a free-for-all, aerobatic, air race using 3rd party aircraft instead... :o...!

I doubt very much if I would be welcome, and taken seriously, competing in a Sim V "Air Race" flying my Cosmos Flexwing....horses for courses...  :o...!

Cheers...!

May I also point out that the Extra 300s is a default aircraft and is GA.

And by the look of it you werent flying a default aircraft last night....i saw you as an extra 300.

Also, the fact of the matter is that the server is a public one, and no-one can stop people from flying what they want. By flying my extra 300s i didnt intend to annoy you paul, I just wanted to do some manual flying in something a little different.
So sorry if I did annoy anyone, but it wasnt intentional.

Anyway, next week itll be back to normal.

.mic

PS. Paul, you are welcome to attend the SimV race in your flexiwing and may actually win, depending on how easy it is to fly a 1929 floatplane.
