Hi, when attempting to connect to a multiplayer session, my fs allways hangs on the connecting to lobby. and after 2 minutes it says that the connection to the lobby failed.
This is in VATSIM. The squawkbox3 connects fine, and I can hear the controllers ok, but the FS doesn't connect.
Does anyone has any idea of why this is happening?
I'm using FS9, I have mcfee firewall wich I turn off, and I also turn off the windows firewall... I connect via a vodafone UK datacard...
Any ideas?
thks

the thing is that it is not a VATSIM only prblm. Whenever I try to connect to a multiplayer session, the FS doesn't find the session.
I look up a session with fshostspy, get the IP, put it on FS but it just doesn't find it....

THAT sounds suspiciously like port issues and / or firewall issues. What is that Vodafone datacard thingy? If it is a dsl modem / router / etc. then you likely have to open port in it as well.

Hi, I discarded the vodafone thing and now I'm on a regular connection. Still happens...I have Mcfee installed, but I don't think it is it, because I had mcfee installed on another computer and I could join online sessions no prblm.
It is as if FS just couldn't comunicate with the outside world...although realworld weather works fine.
So I assume it must be the ports or something like that, so:
How can I open the ports and wich ports need to be open? I just don't know how to do it...any help?
thks
