VOR - - - > VOR

As the title of this thread states on March 17th 2006 I will have a server up and running and we shall try to fly a flight without the gps unit.. :)

No more direct to an airport, we're going to have to fly to and from VOR's along the way :)

the proposed route for the flight shall be as follows:

KDVT-DRK-EED-BLD-LAS-KVGT

Time shall be at 9pm eastern same as the US Tour flights and the setup shall be based on the same theory where the ip address is announced before hand.

I'm looking at flying the FLight1 Cessna 310 for the night as it has been awhile and it is a nice aircraft :)

Jared + all,

Hum.... I might just make this one.  Been a LONG time since I've been able to devote any time to this stuff.

We'll see.

What is the Teamspeak provision?

Jared,

Still might happen.

OK... that is the teamspeak server that we were using for the US Tour flights.... so it is logged into my machine with TS on it already.

I'll keep an eye out for your posting on the IP address.

Gotta' go do a walkaround on the simpit!   ;D

OK... got the charts I'll need.

For KVGT the ILS/DME instrument approach is on 12L......  120 degrees.... true 134.  @ 110.70  I-HWG  3.2 degrees glideslope.  Runway at 2181 MSL.

$4.20 a gallon for avgas at Deer Valley!   :o

Stuff I also noted:

DRK  Drake VORTAC  = 114.10

EED  Needles VORTAC  = 115.20

BLD  Bolder VORTAC  = 116.70

LAS  Las Vegas VORTAC  = 116.90

For DRK, EED, and LAS there are some altitude restrictions for effective use of certain radials at certain distances...... I wonder if this is modeled accurately in the sim?

best,

.....john

KVGT has ILS?  Doesnt in the sim lol.

I would suggest for a scenic flight (we are going up the grand canyon) that you set your sim to 18:30 local time and summer.  Im gonna use real world weather.

Hum........ yup........ the FAA says it does.  Runway 12L (4202 ft. x 75 ft. asphalt) which also supposedly has a 4 light PAPI on the left side, medium intensity edge lights, with a 45 foot building 2019 feet from the runway and a 45:1 slope to clear.

So much for Microsoft!   ;)
