Lately i've seen a few people asking "how do i connect to a multiplayer session" so i've decided to put together this easy guide to walk you through it:

First off download FShostspy Here , and unzip to your chosen directory i.e C:\fshostspy, once you have done this open up the program and you will be presented with the screen below:
Image
On this list you can see a small selection of Multiplayer servers that are in use, As you can see i've highlighted the *WSPilots.com 23456* server which shows who's online flying at the moment and also the i.p address and also any comments that the owner of the server has posted.

Ok now you have the i.p address of the server you are going to fly online on,  the next thing to do is to boot up flight sim and click on the multiplayer tab on the main menu and click on "open multiplayer session" and you will be taken to this screen:
Image

Then what you Must do is to make sure your ports are open, so click on "Client Settings" and if there not set to the port number i.e 23456 you can change that here:
Image
then click "ok" and in the I.P address box type the i.p that is showen on the fshostspy info box or write it down on some paper but be sure not to lose it, the i.p for the wspilots servers is: 66.147.177.125 be sure to enter a name that you want to be known as i.e Nemo or Test, and click ok you will then be connected to the multiplayer server and be able to fly online with people from here and all around the world. below is the welcome message that you will get when successfully connect to the server.

hope this is easy enough to understand, if you have any questions then either post them here or pm me and i'll try and help you.

Nemo.......

Great tutorial Nemo!

Here is more info that is REQUIRED before joining any of those outstanding servers using Russell Gilberts FSHost

http://www.wspilots.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=227

If you dont open the proper ports, you may get a message stating "Cannot connect" or get booted with a message stating "The Host has removed you from the session". Sometimes, this will cause other players to be removed also... even if THEY have thier ports open. Usually, your firewall software or routers manual will show you how to open the proper ports.

Follow these simple instructions and everyone will be able to enjoy flying together without any interruptions!

Have fun! :D

No you're not...

You are just attempting to claim superior intelligence...;)...!

..just because you can crash a new motorcycle on a diesel patch in the middle of a round-about thereby proving the laws of gravity, doesn't mean that you are closely related to Albert Einstein... 8)...!
So there...
LOL...LOL...LOL... ;D...!

Cheers Nemo... ;)...!

Paul... 8)...!
