If you've been thinking about trying flying with live online ATC .... eSkyWorld has a regularly scheduled (every Thursday) online ATC session this evening flying in to the Reno / Tahoe area  (KRNO / KTVL).

(Fozzer...are you reading this?)

In general I have found the controllers there to be very noooooobie friendly.

Hopefully... I'll be on flying (N100JB).  (Get the emergency vehicles ready  ;).)  Hope to maybe see some other SimV folks too.

best,

..................john

Don't know if any SimV folks were there..... but it was certainly hopping!  If that is what every Thursday evening is like...... give it a try.

KRNO was busy and the controller Brian was juggling a LOT of eggs with all the departures and arrivals in the airspace he was working.  A couple [pilots seemed like newbies....there was one person with Teamspeak issues.... and a lot of experienced folks.  Many were using SIDS and STARS.

I flew my usual FedEx BAe 146-200 from Boise to Reno IFR.  Hand flew the whole route except for getting vectors for approach and using the ILS on landing.  Did my first back course ILS landing..... in a crosswind... and set it down smooth just a hair left of center ;D.

best,

.................john
