I thought of this idea last night. My idea is to use real airplane headsets with the team speak. I am going to see if radio shack has an adapter for the headsets. Just thought i would share my idea to make simming more fun

I consider my Plantronics .90 headset a "real airplane headset".

Well my dad is a real pilot and gave and old set to use. But yes i have looked at prices of the headsets. Ebay has some good ones for about 50 dollars though. I wasnt able to make it to radio shack but i am sure i can do this.

Cessna,
I have seen an adapter specifically made for this on one of the flight sim websites. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly which one.
Most likely it is a simple "connector matching issue". But it could be that the impedance of the reall availation phones is different ....and or the mike output is a different line level.
best,
..............john

good quality is about 500$. And all you need is a 1/4in to 1/8in adapter and you'll be good. It should only cost you a buck or two
