Flight Demonstration Team

Postby Chase64830 » Tue Sep 02, 2003 10:20 pm

I am looking for a select few of fellow pilots who would be interested in helping me create a flight demonstration team. I have had this idea for a while, and have decided at this point to pursue it.  I would like the team to consist of 4 to 7 jet aircraft. I realize that this is a large under taking, but I look forward to the challenge. I am not only looking for pilots, but a support staff as well. Talented people who could create paint schemes, and give me feed back on what aircraft might be best suited for this task. Don

It's a great idea, and in fact, there have been many demo teams for other versions of F$.

Having experimented with the idea, and tried out a few guys, let me assure you, formation flying online is near impossible, simply because of the lags you get online.
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Formation flying is very difficult online as Hyperion has stated.  It is reasonably easy in slower aircraft but as they get faster the problems get magnified.

Good luck with your undertaking - but I'm afraid you'll have to count me out.

I'm interested, however, maybe try using a simulator like Janes USAF where online you have no lag would be easier?

(not to steal any pilots here...)
If anyone is interested in setting something up for the simulator of Janes USAF, let me know.  ;)
