How Can I Play CFS2 Online?

Do I have to register at the Zone first?
Then how do I actually get playing online?
I'm sorry that I don't have a clue about any of this.

You can play it because our squad offers it as one of there sims. If you don't play direct IP then you will have to register for an account at the zone or play here

Ok what ya do is this. Go to www.zone.com and log in. (If you havn't already got a screenname then you'll have to get a .net passport so basically go and set up a hotmail account.) Once you've loggd into the zone click on the Combat Flight Simulator 2 jimmy and wait for all pictures to start loading then go to midway. A wierd zone thing will come along and then all you need to do is choose a game and press join. I would suggest getting DirectX8.1 before you start and make sure theres a file called multiplayer.mis in your main CFS2 Directory (That was the file that caused me so much grief!) It should still be there but theres no harm in checking. Erm yeah so there you go.....

P.s. I can now take out Ace Zeros with a Hurricane so watch out!!!!

PS:  Do I have to have CFS2 running before I go online like in FS2002?

No. When you press join it cranks up the game for you like FS2002.

5 mins ago I could get into the zone, I restarted my comp and now I can't. This was to be the first time I used the D*** thing in over a year but no!

my friend and i fly  cfs2 every night using IP hook-up.
that way it stays private with only those with our IP.
