This is one strange problem.
It would appear that I can not view, chat, and basically interact with any players that enter the room after me.
What should I do!?

:'(

PS: I can't see anyone during multiplay

Sounds more like you are having Firewall or Router problems. If these aren't configured correctly, you won't see others and they won't see you as your closed ports are blocking the necessary data transfer.

Go here, this is a great site for getting your router and or firewall configured for playing online at the Zone.

Can't seem to Host a flight with FS2k2.
I've restored back a few days, un-installed and re-installed 2k2, but no luck. I have no problem joining.
This is whats happining. I go to Multiplayer, type in a name, click Host. Next window is where I enter a session name, # of players and click OK. Game freezes there with only an Hour Glass to move around. Ctrl/Alt/Del to task mgr, end task on fs2k2 not responding.
I have no problem hosting 2k4, or joining. ISP says there are no ports blocked.
Anyone had this problem?
I'm all ears.
Thanks,
