I will be performing in the PAD CL-604.

How long should a performance last?

Good question.......

How long do you guys want to be performing? I was thinking something around 3 minutes each or so, but I really have no idea what is suitable.

I think 3-5 minutes per, should have a limit so no one goes over board. And are you going to be having people take off and get to a good altitude before they preform I.e if Player 1 is preforming, and 2 is next, will 2 go ahead and take off to get alt. or maybe let that be something a player can request?
Because certain aircraft take a while to get to a good, safe alttitude

EDIT and might I suggest you edit the first thread every now and then with confirmed preformers with the links to the planes so someone just entering doesn't have to go through every page

I will be using either the Fouga Magister or the Fouga Zephyr jet trainer, by the Restauravia Team.
I am not yet sure whether I will use FS2004 or X. (Probably 2004.)

everyone, my vote for the date of the airshow goes for Sunday, Dec 27. More people would be able to attend on a weekend rather than Tuesday.

PS: One more post to go and I will have posted 500 posts!  :o

Should we be using some specific addon scenery. I know (at least in FS9) there are no parking spaces, so we'll need to start on a runway and move to another spot if we are spectators. I can add special parking to the default FSX and FS9 airports if you want. I just need to know how many people there are and where they should go.

The Organiser of the Show normally provides a Map of the Airfield, outlining the Active Runway, the start and finish end or the Runway, and the Area to be occupied by the Spectators, in colour.

I will preform in a modified RV-4 from Van

plus i cannot get the paper airplane to show up :| it is in the right spot
Image

and i agree with B-Valvs, there are no parking spaces, so we would all have to start on the runway..
and if we do use addon on, we should asign parking spaces determined by performance time for example
First performer, Parking space 1, second, 2 etc etc

Make sure the "aircraft.cfg" has the .cfg at the end, it looks like it is just "aircraft" at the moment.

Here is what default FS2004 KEDW looks like.
I quickly drew out the general plan.

Green Dot = Show Center
Red = Spectator Area
Yellow = Active Runway
Blue = Ground travel path for performing aircraft. Note the runup area. It will serve as a very short term waiting area for the next performer to get ready for takeoff.
Also note the blue arrows, showing suggested routes for runway entrance and exit for performing aircraft.

B-valves, if you could make about a dozen spots in the red area for this field, it would be appreciated.

Image

Taxiway A is the one on the far left, next to the runup area, and will serve as the designated taxiway for all departing aircraft.

Taxiways B and C are located centrally and at the far end respectively and will only be used for arriving aircraft going into the spectator zone.

Exiting the runway at taxiway B is preferred.

The active runway is runway 4.
