I'm gonna be gone to Seattle that weekend.

I've still never been able to attend one of the SimV Airshows, but one of these years I will ;D

I'm there, hated missing the last one but was moving to Montana so this one I'm sure I'll make

Really? Where in Montana did you move?

I'll be there, unsure what I'll be flying though......... most possibly a default baron  ;D.

Nemo......

Beware of turning up in a General Aviation aircraft like a Beech Baron, Nemo...
...you will definitely upset the little organiser...;)...!

...Unless, of course...
You are extracting the urine...!

Note that most of the prospective display pilots are unable to make the display for various reasons...
...whereas...
I am available for any Multiplayer session, at any time, so I would have thought that everyone would be welcome to participate in an Air Show, irrespective of which aircraft they care to display at the time, from Microlights to F-16's...which is what an Airshow is all about.
Most of the aircraft being static displays...!
..am I wrong...?
I possibly am...!

Paul... 8)...!

Of course your welcome Fozzer, and I don't know where you got the idea that you weren't welcome, along with the GA stuff. An airshow wouldn't be an airshow without GA, so how about a show from your microlights?

Yep, nothing wrong with GA. But many people would much rather fly something else!

I might be flying as part of the BBMF formation in a Hurricane (still waiting for confirmation from Mictheslic)
I have also made a nice demo in the hurri that im testing on the simv server right now.
I think it looks great from the air but i need some people to evaluate it from the ground :)

its the AH hurricanr Mk1 package that im flying at the moment, untill mictheslic confirms the plane to use.

...you two may not have noticed, but in previous Sim V Airshows, there were a number of visitors, etc, who popped in just to display their static aircraft, and increase the numbers on the ground, to enable some good screen shots to be taken of the whole show...!
Everyone doesn't necessarily have to be rushing around the skies all the time, trying to impress everyone else with their aerobatic prowess...!!
...trust me...!

I am always more than happy to pop in with with one of my delightful Microlight aircraft, just to illustrate the ever-popular, affordable, and realistic method of taking to the skies...!

The more visitors, like Katahu with his Chevy, that can be encouraged to attend, the better, and more popular the Airshow will be....
;)...!

My advice would be to encourage as many folks as possible to attend, irrespective of what part they take in the Airshow...
...Merely to observe the rules whilst an  aerial display is in progress ;D...!
...simple...!

Here endeth the second lesson... 8)...!

I'm in!

Is the timezone in GMT +0?

Also, can I please do a display? I am not sure what plane, although I will be formation flying with someone else :)

Thanks...

Timezone will be whatever UK local time is now! What with DST it's made things too confusing.

You're quite welcome to sit on the ground and spectate, there's absolutely no problem with that... in fact, we even encourage it. More people to show off too! ;D

Though the idea of static aircraft will be too much of a problem. Causes extreme FPS hits for those flying, so you just see a dot jumping across the sky... doing what it shouldn't be, because the pilot is working with 4fps! ;) This is precisely the reason we want anyone spectating, to be sitting in a low poly aircraft, being used by everyone, to reduce any framerate/server lag issues. E.g. the default Schweizer.
