I was worried because I couldn't find my port settings, but since I don't have the Windows XP service pack 2, or a router, I'm in the same boat as Fozzer 8)

....But, would the Zonealarm firewall interfere, or would I need to disable it?

You should be able to allow FS9 through as an exception.

..because...
..neither of us has Service Pack 2 installed, or a router getting in the way...
..Fantastic...  ;D...!
...Sorted... ;)...!

I checked everything and it shouldn't be a problem : Zonealarm & windows firewall disabled, norton worm control accepts everything from FS9.

Hi Fozzer....!

We have also proved that our lives are much more stress/worry free then everyone else who has to fiddle around with their settings and routers ;D

Much less frustration and headaches involved 8)

Sometimes not upgrading things have an advantage :D

Hey Mobius,

That's a good start but!!! (always a "but"...LOL), this is what you should do, as for everyone else running a router....

On your GAMING maching, the one running Flight Sim, go to Start, Run, type 'CMD' and a new window will pop up. Type "ipconfig' to see your LOCAL MACHINES IP address. I included a picture of MY IP and your screenshot. You need to change the '1' at the end to YOUR IP address (mine is 192.168.1.101). Yours may be 100, 101, 102, 103...etc...

Hi Martyn...!

Just a thought...
If it's just you and the Missus who use the computer at home, and assuming that she doesn't play on-line games....why do you need/use a Router....?

Just curious...!
