Tried to join in last night but wasted over an hour with fshost and hostspy, .....didn't find anything that looked like your session............Oh well..........direct IP has never been an issue for me, but apparently your sessions don't work that way for me........... ???

Just simply launch FS, click on multiplayer, type in the IP address in the specified area and click search. Join the session and viola.

If you are connected, but unable to see the sim and just see a chat box on one corner, just simply exit that chat box and maximize the FS window if it doesn't maximize automatically.

It may not be obvious, but you are then connected already. Load up the flight and you should see a red text message on the top regarding the server.

Sounds odd. Do you have the correct router and firewall ports open? I know sometimes that will prevent people from seeing a session.

As far as not seeing it in FShostspy there is a reason for that. In fshost there is an option to disable info about the session being sent to the master server which runs the data for fshostspy. We chose to do it this way so that we don't have people that we don't know joining in and clogging up the bandwidth. People we know are more than welcome, people who are from elsewhere just looking to fly we'd rather not see all the time.

Hope you can get it sorted out, it would be lovely to see you and Paul out there with us! :)
