internet speed

Postby trojan rabbit » Fri Mar 30, 2007 7:09 pm

I have a sensationally slow internet (yes, it's dial up) and I was wondering how this would effect online play (eg, slower frame-rates, or whatever)

thanks

The only real difference Kevin is that you'll find it hard to fly formations as other aircraft appear to jump around a bit (due to the slower update speed of other players positions). Otherwise no worries. What is your dial-up speed? If you've got 56k you should be able to fly online with a couple of friends without an excess of problems (just shut-down all other processes apart from FS9). However 4 or more players and the lag really starts to show. Also if someone else is hosting rather than you your speed will be better ;)

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
