Wargames / Allied alert!

Postby Tweek » Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:23 pm

Luftwaffe aircraft have been photographed at EDDB, following a recent reconnaissance mission over Germany.

Four Messerschmitt ME-109s have been spotted, as well as a Heinkel HE-111 bomber, but more aircraft could have been situated elsewhere on the aerodrome.

Even more recently, a French farmer photographed the same aircraft taking off from an airfield in Northern France.

With aircraft being deployed so close to Blighty, attacks are surely imminent. It is now up to us to find out where and when! Intelligence shows that there may be attacks on London, some time next weekend...

Good luck, chaps!

Oooohh....

Flt Lt, Fg Off, Plt Off or...

... F/L, F/O, P/O dear chap...

There's no such thing as a Flt Off, a common mistake, is actually a Flying Officer (equivalent to an Army (1st) Lt, and senior to an RN S/Lt...)

I would pop along but I'm elsewhere unfortunately... :P

And what about Squadron Leaders aswell? :) Could do with a few more ranks in there! Perhaps some people should be promoted!

A typical Sqn may have a Wg Cdr boss, two Flight commanders who are Sqn Ldrs, and the rest made up of Flt Lts and below...

Of course way back then, there were Warrant Officer, Flt Sgt and Sgt pilots too... :)
