US Tour General Information!

Come join us this weekend!

Hello all, as we continue this round the US tour, I thought that it would be a good idea to start a general thread pertaining to no particular flight. This way, I can cover the basics of what we do and how we are going to do it each flight without having to repeat in each weekly posting.

Who are we?

We are a group of fellow Simviators who have joined together to fly around the United States primarily in smaller prop planes. Our ultimate goal is to get to each and every state in the country with the exception of Alaska and Hawaiim though they may appear in the future... ;) One of the nice things is we do not require people to attend every session or make up the flight, so please feel free to join us any weekend.. ;)

What do we fly?

Mainly it depends on the distance of the next flight for the night. We have used the stock 172SP for some, and the fastest was the king-air for the one flight. Basically what happens is I'll try and match the hop and the aircraft so that we fly for more than an hour and less than two hours.

When do we fly?

We attempt to fly every saturday night between 9pm to 11pm Eastern Standard time. I'm aware that this may not be a good time for everyone, but this is a good time for me, and a few others who help run the session when I am not able to be here, thus it will stay this way for now.. ;)

How do I connect to the session?

The session is hosted through FSHost and is capable of 2002/2004 operations. To connect to the server be sure that your ports are open!

Hey Jared!

Since I'll be joining you guys this weekend, I need a little help with Skype, and with the timedifference.

First of all, how do I connect to a Skype server or what its called? My Skype account is Ecko_22_8

Can you tell me wich one of these timezones is Eastern.

Glad to hear you are joining us!

You don't have to join a skype session, what it is is basically a phone. Now that we have your skype username we will give you a call shortly before we are set to depart from the airport. :)

The eastern timezone lies on the east side of the United States where Ohio is.. ;)

That's a nice little link there too! It gives you the time so we don't have to figure it out! :)

Hope tos ee you there!

So that would be the Dark Blue Zone? ???

BTW, I broke my headset yesterday, I'm currently working on it, but I'm not sure it will be ready? Otherwise I'll just be listening and writing!
