Metar Archive

Postby Jim Robinson » Sun Mar 14, 2010 5:43 pm

For those who use FSMetar and have always wished there was a way to import historical weather into the program I'd like to welcome you to the newest addition to my site:

http://www.cat-tamer.com/flightsim/metar/

The site has been archiving metars from the NOAA site at a rate of one per hour since Feb 10th and there are currently 826 cycles on file. Metars are downloaded from the NOAA server, "gzipped" to save disk space, and made available for download via date/time search. Winzip will open and extract the .gz files normally. Use "FSMetar > Open Metars File" to load the extracted metar file into FSMetar.

It's completely free, no pop-ups, no advertisements, no donation buttons, no strings attached. Enjoy :)
