Lol, you start up another forum because you want to be the admin. No flaming here, but you wont impress anyone. I seriously doubt your member count will go above 20, compared to the 14,748 members to date here at simviation. Maybe if you forget about it and continue to have fun here with all your fellow pilots, you may just be staring at a PM inviting you to become moderator.

I doubt that'll happen for a while, I'm not exactly a fine art in posting.
BTW no flaming intended.  ;)

Word of warning about appointing moderators.

Make sure you know them, trust them, and feel that they will not blindly upset members by overstepping the use of "Moderator" status; can remain level-headed even in stressful circumstances, not show favoritism, and weigh all options before locking or deleting threads, or banning members.

There is nothing more threatening to a website's future than people who cannot control themselves once they become a "Moderator"

Just thought I'd give this a bump as a new member has just signed up saying that he found it from SimV.

I've had quite a bit of experience with forums over the last 18  months or so with a number of forums. I've learnt quite a bit and it is actually very difficult being a good moderator and gaining the respect of the FS community. If you are really in need of one I could join and become one, however I am quite full with what I have already so if you are ok now then don't worry. As you are only 16 I would wonder if you have the funds to cover a forum, especially if it went big. You can't drop people and say I can't affoord it anymore if it gets to big etc. I'm not sure on forum costs, but I guess a big forum is expensive. :)

Thanks for your offer, I'll keep it in mind but I now have enough moderators for the time being. :D

And I'm currently using a free forum system.  I'm not sure how much bandwidth it gives but in the unlucky scenario of hundreds of people joining I could always introduce a donation system to buy a domain name or something. ;)
