what is the SCS Folder for ?

and - where does it go ?

I downloaded it, and it comes with a self installer, which , I never use those !!

I directed the installer to place the folders & files in a separate folder away from FSX , so I can, as usual "Manually" install this aircraft.

but I'm confused where that SCS Folder goes and whats it for, what does it do

there was no Read me file instructions that came with it.

anybody got a clue maybe, kinda sorta

Well, Jet, from the looks of it, and from running the .exe included, yeah, I'm brave....It looks to me like a fuel planner for the plane. You can put in hte miles (or KM) you need to fly and it will tell you how much fuel you need in each tank, or, conversely, you can put in the fuel and it will spit out how far you can go....I think...altho not often or clearly...

Think I'll just inject it into my FSX, and see what happens Without that folder 1st,,, experiment.

I've got the 2 other Russian jetliners, but, they didn't come with this SCS Folder that I can recall,, been a while tho, few years.

will let everybody know the end result shortly, gonna play guinea pig on this one.

STOP FSX Users !!! least FSX Gold Acceleration users,,,anyway

have a few problems that the gauges won't display properly

can't see out the cockpit for the Glass texture

smoke system is off for FSX

no extra views,,

tho this aircraft states its for FS-2004,, it should work in FSX,,, \

I can make it work, hopefully, I've either got to flip the Alpha Channel for the glass, so its not totally black anymore or delete the file or swap files, don't know yet.

hopefully that'll cure the gauges too not showing with a black over coat.

maybe this will work in FS 2004 century of flight, properly somebody will have to report , I don't have 2004 so I don't know how it works in that.

Tupolev 134A Jetliner

OK, so after about 3 hours of tinkering with this thing in FSX , I did manage to solve the Gauges not showing up, by taking the "Glass" Texture and applying an Alpha channel to it using Black, presto' the gauges show up in the VC.

but, I could never fix the cockpit glass to be able to see out of it

when I gave the glass texture the black alpha which fixed the cockpit gauges, it took the cockpit glass from black - to - white/grey ?

Tried repainting another texture with the side glass in it to black with alpha / black,,, and it didn't fix anything,,,

*** Also note, for whatever reason this thing drains resources Big Time on my computer compared to any payware Cap sim, Just flight, PMDG aircraft I have

takes forever to load up, and very slow about shutting down to my aircraft pick list to change aircraft - didn't have this problem before, matter fact I've got a few 2004 aircraft in my sim no problems like this !!!

nice aircraft tho with a very nicely detailed cockpit no doubt about that - if only it'd work.

Also, I'm NOT sure some of those Gauge files actually belong where their at the way the author has them, in the Panel folder ??

that may be an issue with this aircraft ? for FSX users , maybe 2004 users ?

well, hope somebody gets it working, it is a nice aircraft tho.
