Partly because the website owner is rude, doesn't respect anyone, and puts unauthorized files on his website

That is correct , I didn't knew things about this page, until I get the news 3 month ago, was too late and personally upload it two of my models, was a huge mistake , and from now AT least my models will be Not For Distribuition just  Simv and my site.

This was presisly for that site and some others ,Yes I will add that the Owner its a liar and take things without permission.

I don't know if Ferdy (owner of FSPirate) still does it but he used to sell CDs of freeware to make money for himself as well. Alas he has done more to drive designers out of the hobby than perhaps anyone else in the FS world. The dark side of our hobby he is........

We've had long discussions on this subject before. I've had no dealings with this site myself so can only go on what I'm told. I know my opinion is unpopular but I can't see the problem if the files are true Freeware, providing full credit is given & it costs nothing to download them. I'm sure that the same thing happens with the more "respectable" FS sites including Simviation.

I wonder how many files posted on the 3 major FS websites fulfil those criteria.
