Airliners.net environment

Hey guys,
             Im considering getting airliners.net membership. In your opinion what do you guys reckon of the actual forum boards? Is it a friendly place or is it something else? Is it worth it?

After Demand Media took over there the whole site has gone down the pan  >:(

Threads often don't work. 1/2 the time when you try to view a picture you get a "Picture does not exsist" error. If you look on the site related board you can see how huge the problems are. Plus the new owners take very little notice of what people are actually saying.

Personally, I don't have a membership there, and like you was thinking about getting one a while ago, now I've seen what DM has done I'm very reluctant to get one, and I rarely visit now.

Plus, you can do pretty much everything except post without a membership anyway  :)

Agreed...I personally don't like some of the topics that come up on those boards...Namely ones that involve religion...I've seen countless numbers of posts where people blatantly curse other religions...Makes my blood boil...Some members there too are just a big pain in the a$$ if anything else...I'd suggest you don't pay for their membership and stick around as a free member...Like Alex said, you can pretty do everything besides post...With attitudes that those guys have, I'd never want to post anything anyway... ::)

And a few other features like being able to see the photo's full screen, being able to have your name on the High Score list of their recognition quiz...Fun stuff
