Seen it once on TV. For show sakes they made it fly inside and through the cargo area of a heavy transport plane that could be opened in both the nose and rear area (I think it was a AN124, but can't really say with certainty).

I thought, even if twin engined, it was a ultralight. Was I wrong? :-?

It weighs only 165 lbs (!) empty, which should put it in the
Ultralight class, but ,at least as far as the FAA goes, that class also requires speeds below 55 kts.
So the Cri-Cri, which can hit about 115 kts, does not legally fit.

Here in the states, it's legally a "homebuilt Experimental".

By no means an ultralight.  Experimental perhaps.

I've seen that too...It was a Lockheed C-5 Galaxy...The narrator goes "In fact, the difference is so huge that the smallest can fly through the largest..."...Wasn't too bad watching it fly...

The Cri-Cri is definately a neat bird to fly in... 8-)

And not much bigger than some and smaller than others.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
