When Evergreen 747 dropped an engine in Anchorage, they managed to land safely. The voice recorder has some interesting things on it. Well worth the read, I'll see if I can find it.

Why is it posted here then?

Personally, I find the recordings quite disturbing and interesting, but not particularly funny either.

I find CVR transcripts and recordings interesting, and I find them to be an invaluable resource in the incident reconstruction process, but I'll agree.  Making light of them, making jokes about them...not even close to funny.

Put it this way.  Let's say your mom, dad, brother, sister, grandmother or grandfather dies.  What about your husband or wife?  Would it be acceptable for me to make jokes about it or make light of it?

I'm inclined to say no.

As for why it's here...it was originally posted in "jokes" and moved....quite appropriately, IMO.
