Simviation Forums

I love the screenshot competition each month.  I really love it.  It gives us an outlet to try new things.  Even if there was no sponsored prize I would still have a huge smile on the face on the day that I win one of these things someday.  I love these competitions so much, that I have come up with an idea (yes, another one of my 1,000,000 Dreamer ideas).

If I were to make an FS-oriented website, complete with a forum much like this, would people be interested in competing in MULTIPLE competitions each month, just for fun?  I am sure that if we generate enough interest in it, and the site is proven to be one which grabs the attention of many in the Flight Sim community, sponsors just may follow suit if we ask nicely enough.

If anyone is interested in this, let me know.  If interest shows at a decent level, I just might go about doing this through my own, personal, paid webspace.

it sounds great,im all for it, but it will drive users away from SimV. and we really don't want that. im not saying don't create it, cause i'd join in a heartbeat, just remember we are loyal to this place. it's like a drug, lol.

I hear you, but it wouldn't be a forum that goes in depth into the FS series, Payware Discussions, Aircraft Design, etc.  It's be purely screenshot competitions, and maybe some reviews of freeware & payware planes.

like i said, i'm all for it, i'd be willing to donate my time and effort to help you out if needed (can i be a mod/judge?, lol)

believe you me people will join, if you get the word out. but you probably should secure a sponsor as well, but you probably knew that.
