Love the video ecko, excellent work.

How did you get the camera position for the spitfire takeoff, and do I take it that was HawkerTempestV in his mkxiv? ;)

i just wish you put in the recording of my barrel roll or something, i was hopeing to see that, scince i was in the cockpit i couldent see it

I'm sorry but you were pretty high, and pretty fast - So I'd have to zooom extremely much and do some serious panning, which is hard since there's no good camera utility for recording in FS2004.

I was in one position only, so I had to zoom and pan a lot, it wasn't easy I tell you. Some of the panning you can see in the video is very choppy, that's not due to low framerates they were about 25-30. It's because Walk&Follow, which I used, is made to get you to one position and stay there, not pan or anything else.

I liked that one too. :) Nice flying!

Indeed it was Hawker.
His display was a joy to film, I think it was due to the very, very framerate friendly choice of aircraft, no lagging or anything.
And of course cause it was one hell of a display!!

I guess the camera position was pure luck really. It was the same position I was in for the whole display, some 70 feet in the air, middle of the runway.

My aircraft was where all the other "spectator" planes were, I used Walk&Follow to move to the spot.

I think the zoom is part of the reason it looks so nice, and of course the smooth takeoff, with a lovely gear raise animation.. Very slow, and good looking. I also believe I set it to play at 0.75 rate (speed) in Vegas.

And thanks for the nice comments guys! :)

I just got a chance to download the movie. What a great piece of work Ecko!!!!! Love the editing, music, aircraft....beautifully put to-gether. Cspyro and I will have to stay airborne a bit longer to fill in a bit more time in your next film.(I don't think I was in it at all) Superb stuff!

Thanks Clip, glad you liked it. :)

I'm sorry for not getting a lot of footage of you and Cspyro, but it was really hard to see you guys! :o - In FS9 with very small planes like the Zlin, you have to get very close before the planes textures load.
BAW0343 who was in the huge B707 was no problem, but the small planes have to get so close it's almost impossible.
Because I'm at one place, and one place only! It's extremely hard to get any footage of the small planes, unless they come flying by.
And the stuff I do get, the textures aren't loaded, so it looks terrible.

All-in-all the Zlin would have to get within half a mile or so for the textures to load, which made it very hard to get any stuff.

Plus one of the planes, I'm assuming yours, was lagging terribly.
That and the fact that my computer crashed right before your display, so I only got to see and shoot half of it, meant not a lot of footage.

Damn, that's a lot of excuses!! :o Haha.. ;D ;D
