Hey guys, I realize it doesn't belong to FSX, BUT! I find it amazing...Apparently, I can't post any web links (since I'm a new member) but has anyone heard of/tried this sim yet?
the official website and all the info is aeroflyfs.com you can see for yourself...
What do you think??

Yes we heard about it and this sim has been widely discussed over several flight-sim forums. The summary is:
- it's beautifull
- the flight models are interesting
- the cockpits are way too limited, nothing clickable, very basic avionics, nothing to do excepted aerobatics
- there is only Switzerland, no addons. This *might* change in future.

So in the end, the game is fun but cannot replace FSX, and it will need several years before it becomes a real interesting sim (with complex planes, complex avionics, world scenery, ATC etc...).

Same goes for another sim called Outerra, which is even more limited that AeroFlyFS.

Thanks for replying,

I just found it very dynamic and the environment looks beautiful creating that realistic look and feel such as runways, buildings and etc...The videos on youtube simply blew me away... The FPS in the videos looked promissing as well...But like you mentioned - it's very limited. I wonder if all of us - the flight sim community - could express our interest in their product and try to push it forward a bit more by adding airlines, instruments and so on...Thats pretty much what I wanted to share with all of you...THANKS!!!

just look at this...it adds something that FSX simply can't:
