star data file modified to display stars as in real life, offering realistic star depth to simulator environment without stars concentrated, and dominating the hours of darkness. By Brian Neitzel

...anything involving "Stars" at night, keeps my General Aviation, PPL licenced, VFR, Piston Prop aircraft, planted firmly on the ground until the morning light..... ::).....

If you can see stars it might mean there's some moonlight about to help illuminate those unlit landing strips  we sometimes need in an emergency.....?   I sometimes do in my Lysander on those little trips to France  ::)

I'm afraid my PPL, VFR-only Licence!, keeps me grounded between the hours of sunset and sunrise...!

The Moon, and "Stars" are what I watch from my tent, lying on the ground, in front of the FBO....
...until the Sun comes up...;)...!

Is this a new star database or a repackage of "myFSstars" from a couple years back?

Dunno, but it probably is, go to Flightsim.com and search the zip for more info

:D  I will have to agree...I installed it and the view from a remote runway, with no lighting, is awesome.
