Looks like PSS are no more!!

Postby simonmd » Fri Dec 14, 2007 10:55 pm

Seems that the once respected PSS are going down. ALL of their official support forums have been removed from the AVSIM forums to be replaced with a single 'Unofficial' support forum that has no connection with PSS. It's reported that their website has not been updated since October and several key members of the PSS team have resigned. Add this to the fact that their FSX release of the 757 has officialy been scrapped and It's bye, bye, PSS i'm afraid.

There was something mentioned over at Just Flight (who publish the in box versions of PSS' products) about this - I think even they weren't entirely sure what was going on, although they did appear to think that maybe PSS may return with new staff in future, so fingers crossed. :)

Personally I think they need to avoid trying to model the same aircraft as Captain Sim at the same time (ie the 757!). Not great business sense IMO given the fact that with CS's reputation they'd probably get 50% of the market share taking into account very few people would be willing to buy both.  :)

..."PSS"....?

Is this the same company that produced some of the fantastic games for the Sinclair Spectrum 48K Computer in the 1980's...>>>>

If it is, it will be a shame to see them disappear from the programming scene after such a long time!..
...happy memories of PSS...!
