Dave Slatski has uploaded his CFS2 conversion of Kristensen's wonderful C-54.

There are some major problems with the C-54 download.   But see the C-54 Fix thread to make everything work. 

   Is there a Berlin airlift 'candy bomber' skin for this bird?  My late uncle was one of the pilots involved who also picked up a DFC in Korea.

Seriously though, thanks for clearing some of that stuff up TR. I've got a "fix it up" file that will be uploaded very shortly.

BTW, nice job on the aluminum deal there. In the email I received from the author, uploading skins are no problem. Just can't put helicopter blades on it or anything like that.

......anyway, I'm reliably informed there are a load of re-paints already (plus a Paint Kit) at Flightsim (if you can get in)

........the Paintshop's busy with a few export orders at the moment .........

I couldn't find the paint kit, but now that there's a converted bare metal skin, it would make a nice basis for some repaints.....with a minimum of effort. 

Here's a shot of that very aircraft in 1948 landing in Berlin....so she can be used for Korea.  8-)

You did not see many large transports in Korea, as most of the airfields were too short or crude to handle the C-54.   That's why there were so many C-46s, C-47s and C-119s around.

This one is shown ferrying R&R troops from Korea to Japan....the lettering on the fuselage says:

Hey oldwheat and Tango, Nice jobs.
I see TR's is ready for down load....will you be uploading yours here oldwheat?

Kinda strange though, there's no mention in the folder of who the author is. Not even a readme.

Yes Dave, They fit nicely.  I have CFS2'ised them & toned down the yellow & day-glo colors a tad.  Now to attempt to obtain permission to upload them.
