HELP! Funky CFS2 and XP issue

i'm sure this is easily fixed:

1) will launch, but only as black screen. I do have sound.
2) Menu screens are black. i can hear my 'tabs' as i tab around, but it's pure black....until
3) i tab to free flight (purley by tabbing in the dark) and i can see the plan selection.
4) i select a plane (again all dark but the rotating model of the plane)and can get into free flight...once there
5) all is ok. i can see, fly etc.

anyone?

Thats probably a problem with the compability between your Video card and CFS2.

See if this will help you!

Go inside the folder call Combat flight Simulator 2 and look for a file call Cfs2_cfg.bak and open it with notepad. Erase whats inside this file and capy and paste the information I

i will down a couple 'kates' for you!

one small item, and it's probably me...but i can't seem to get the 'target brackets' (yellow [ ]  )  around the enemy planes, i'm looking for 'target on/off' or 'cancel target' but when i fly, the buttons won't work. small issue...

Hi guys

I have exactly the same problem, but cannot find the file. I've created a new one in the cfs2 top directory and pasted the config into it but still the same problem. Should the file be in a different directory? If so, where?

Ozthomas its a file inside the Combat flight Simulator 2 Folder. Go to My Computer/Local Disk C/Program files/ Microsft games/Combat flight Simulator 2 Folder and look for a file call
