I found this address with a Website that claims you can fly Online. I do not if its true or or if you already know. As for your question I do not know.

as far as i know, starting on the ground in multiplayer, even if u used mpsu, would result in an instant collsion. Since with cfs2 any aircraft whether it be AI or human, in order to take off must start at one end of the runway. Lets say we have a mission from Midway, although it has a triangular runway setup, the game only recognizes one end of the run for takeoffs, and each player who would join that mission, would start in the exact same spot as their buddy, resulting in a nasty fire that would either end the game, crash the game *most likely outcome*, or spawn everyone at different spots making it seem like u just entered the game. I know JJ has been getting BrunHost to work with CFS2 so we can see one another destroy ground targets, we have yet to figure out to avoid automatic collisions when starting on the ground. in regards to the Mission builder, yes it can be used for multiplayer to a certain extent. Cody Coyote created a tutorial for making missions in cfs2. its still around somewhere. i know i'll get corrected if i'm wrong, but i believe that you should avoid using triggers, events, and moving AI if u intend to fly the mission online. You CAN however, add static ships, vehicles, aircraft, and buildings to further enhance the overall look of the area, but avoid objects that the game controls, due in part to the fact that not everyone will enter the game at the exact same moment. If u had set up the mission for u to attack a flight of zeros and ur friend entered 2 seconds after you, he/she will see the zeros at their original starting point while u could have 3 on ur six, and get torn to pieces. He would see damage messages as the zero that he just shot down was actually destroying his (human buddy). If would be 1 vs 8 and 1 vs 8. with BrunHost we're able to enter the game at different rates, but still see the objects where our friends see them, if my wingman (human) destroys a hanger, it will register and show up as being destroyed in my game as well.
btw in order to use missions online you need to use Multiplayer Swap Utility aka MPSU and select your allegiance, either Allied (US/Britain) or Axis (Japanese/German). Everyone who wants to fly must also swap to that mission before starting their CFS2 game. It will NOT work if u swap after u have double clicked on CFS2.EXE.

Thanks for the reply. 8-)
I've mostly flown fs2002 and fs9. So CFS is becoming a new experience. I don't know why Microsoft has to make things so difficult. :-? had hoped to open a csf server for VintageATC. I'm going to look in to this further.
