the question on my lips is why cant cfs2 do guided missiles? all of the funtions are there, the locking on/tracking, and it can decide where to fly the ai planes etc. why then can't it do guided weapons? its probably possible to do so in mission builder but it would be nice to have proper guided weapons. i know that Microsoft own Micrprose, who have been making the fantastic falcon series for years, i had falcon 4.0 long before CFS2 and that does guided missiles. is there any possible way to rectify this? it would add an entire new dimension to the sim.

To the best of my knowledge there is no way to do it. CFS2 was designed purely as a shoot 'em yourself sim. I don't understand why anyone would want missiles! Where is the skill in that?

He's right. There is no way in CFS2 to create a guided weapon. And having played JET many years ago, which was probably the first sim with guided missles(F-16 & F-18), I can testify that there is little thrill in using guided weps. Or, if you just have to have them, you would be better off moving to one of several sims that use them. In CFS2 the old Mark I Brain is the best aiming device available.
