I've got a mission with a large convoy of ships set into a formation (highlight each ship, then press ctl+alt+f).

Any time you change a DP file and save it, you must delete the CDP file.   It will rewrite itself when the new DP runs the first time.  Sounds like you added guns to some ships in the DP file without deleting the CDP afterward.

Also, when you make changes to a ship or aircraft that is used in an existing MIS file, you need to resave the MIS file in MB for the changes to take effect.   Why?  MB and MIS files 'remember' certain information from the DP/CDP.

Also remember that all ships, like aircraft are acting on the settings for the NEXT WP as soon as they leave the current WP.   So you need to have the next WP set at DO NOT EVADE, as well as the current one.
