First thing, Hi to everyone
Hope someone can help??
I have just installed cfs2 onto my computer
AMD Athlon 2500+xp
1.85Ghz
768mb Ram
Windows ME
Direct X9b and the problem i am having is that the textures for the aircraft that come with cfs2 are not showing up??All i get is like a black silhoette of the aircraft!!!!
I do not have this problem with downloaded aircraft as i tried a hurricane and that showed up no problem???
Anyone got any ideas how i can cure this Please or what the problem might be.

Hi jemc. You're the second person in a few days to report a similar problem. Check out the Irfanview topic below this one. Not sure what can be causing it. If I think of anything I'll let you know.

PS. I can't see a video card in the specs you quoted. Do you have a separate one?

Same as mine so that shouldn't be a problem.

I"am sorry my friend but seems to me that your PC is going to one of those PC kapup moments. The only easy solution is to reinstall CFS2. Its very easy and you will not have to lose all your addon planes. This will probably fix your problem.The only thing that you need to keep in mind is that you need to backup the World/ Texure and Scenery folders inside the SCENEDB Folder if you had them upgraded.


Here are instructions on how to reinstall your CFS2 program and not to lose most of your addon By Hagar:

Just remember to press the CFS2 command Keyboard instead of the CFS1 ones. This way you will be able to communicate with your wingmen and also be able to use all the other CFS2 featres.

PS Jemc you need to upgrade your Memory from 256mb to at least 1,112 for and this and other Sims work properly in you PC. Its easy to installand and cheap now"s days. Good luck!

I"am sorry your 256 mb is in the memory of your vidoecard. Your Video card is a find card.

Before you do anything, go in your card setting, turn off AA and AF. Restart and load the game. Turn off AA in the game. Restart. Then try to load the game and see how it looks. If theres any improments, then go out again and set AA to 4+ on the card.
