Modifying explosions?

Postby Jehovah_of_Jive » Fri Jan 06, 2006 7:12 pm

How does one make explosions a) larger b) the after effects (smoke column) last longer?

I've opened .fx files with WordPad - what attributes alter duration of smoke?

Looks silly when the after-effects of a 500lb bomb strike on a building disappear after a few seconds...

i enjoy long walks on the beach, yummie thai food, and obliterating my enemy's aircraft around them with a hail of bullets from 12 .50s. and/or a 75mm cannon.

If they hits the sand there should be a big explosion but no fire. If it hits something like a building it should have a lasting fire ;)

Modifying FX files is hard and I still haven't got the hang of it :-[
