;D he he he,

I downloaded the Flight Model Work Book and I went at making a new airfile for my P-47D-23 for myself....
It expects me to the designers at Republic Aircraft at the time lol... Three days i still dont know and cant find what the root and tip thickness is.... not to mention what the length of the aileron is... Is there a Mecca ou there in which these crazy .air file builders meet?

Anyone with any info please :'( reply, lol i also need the entire tail section (square footage)

Same here,

I was tryin' to build the a new Airfile for Akemi's P-39N and I just scanned through the questions and gave up.  "I don't know what the dihedral is... wait, what the hell's a dihedral?"

Good Hunting,

The dihedral is the angle between the upward (or downward!) lift of the wing and horizontal.

Low wing aircraft (such as most of our WW2 fighters) tend to have a larger dihedral to increase stability. High wing aircraft, such as modern Cessnas, etc., have much less as this type of aircraft is inherently more stable.

BTW - what's the flight model handbook and where do you get it from - it sounds interesting! I should get out more... ;)
