He he he hee im back.... this ones gunna be a toughy. ;D

Have any of ya'll noticed anything slow about the Beau by C. Muir.
I don't know what i did to mine but it was a fast, powerful aircraft. then i modded it a little more and it would stop the game. when i replaced all the files with the originals it aint the same. this one is a beast to get off the ground.

I have noted some weird things about the aircraft itself:
1. the prop RPM's constantly change even with auto-pilot on.
2. the Cyl. heads get very hot with heavy loads (two 500lb.'ers and rockets. Maxing at 800 deg C.)
3. Mani. Press. varies from 29in. at sea level to 13in. at 20,000 ft
4. in the .air file the engine RPMs are set to 3000 but with AirEd it say to accomplish actual 3000 rpm it needs to be set at 6400 <(6400/4=1600)+1400>
5. ? it has no fuel pressure?
6. magnetos aren't controllable

i know i'm whiney but it stinks! i used to love my beau :-* but now i dont want to look at it. ::)
Any help  ??? the engine under AirEd is 500 im use to 505 engines

just a wild guess here... I think there are a few version's of the Beaufighter... did you get the same one you got last time?

Also,

was your last Beaufighter's AIR file modified by you before you decided to mod it again?

Good Hunting,
Brandon

all i did was go to the original files that i keep separate from the actual CFS2 folder and copy & paste the old original files back into CFS2.  and your second ? yes i did, but i dont remember what i altered.

Don't know if this will work for you, but it's a new air file editor for, among other things, CFS2. Cool name, too ;)
