Tell me the page it's posted on & I might be able to check it out for you. The panel and/or sound CFG files are possibly aliased to an aircraft you don't have installed. Check out my Aliasing article to see if that helps. http://www.simviation.com/lair/aliasing1.htm

I suspect that DBK file is a backup included by mistake. It shouldn't affect anything.

cfs2 aircraft page 56 the 2nd one down. So what your page is trying to say is i need to find a panel, and sound file for my P-40. Im sure i can ;D.. I opened the .DBK and it is a different .DP file lol the boxes and strings dont match up. so it could be panel or sound

I'll check it out later if I have time. You don't need a new panel or sound. If it uses either aliased panel or sound CFG files simply make sure it's done correctly & pointed to an aircraft with its own panel/sound files that you have installed, usually one of the defaults.

OK. I see the problem. It's defined incorrectly in Aircraft.cfg. Open it in Notepad & change the [fltsim.2] header at the top to [fltsim.0]

That DBK is a backup file as I suggested. You can either leave it where it is or delete it.

You're welcome. Those will be spare entries in the CFG. If the aircraft works I would leave well alone.

I'm always happy to help when I can. Most of these problems are easily fixed if you know where to look. If you have any you can't figure out tell me the file name & exactly where I can download them.

lol a couple more things to ask. Do ground and ships fight with each other? and i down loaded Sergio Dolcemascolo's  wep_db_xxxxx and some of the models aren't loading like the torpedos and 100lb bomb and the 30lb frag. I have version 2 but do i need v.1.. I checked the Dp's for the weapons and those were compressed, i uncompressed them but they still are not working. lol i tried looking for a CFG but i think it is something in the BGL file.

Not quite sure what you mean. I'm no expert on missions but I don't think ground units will attack each other. They're used as targets. I imagine the same goes for ships.

u answered the first and what i meant by the second is that the files were compressed. (dont ask while compressed they were 1Kb and uncompressed they were 1kb ???) I did that but i still get a "Model not found" ;D I dont know what it is either only those three classes dont work out of the eight {total 30lb frag, 100lb Bmb, 250 Bmb, 500Bmb, 1000Bmb, 2000bmb, torpedoes, rockets.} lol there's a bunch of different types of each a,b,c,d,fb for the bombs and they all work. ooohhhh life is good ??? ??? ???

If you tell me exactly where to get this file I'll download it & check it out. I'll need the aircraft that uses the weapons too.

Right. I have the file. I'll see if I can check it out tomorrow.

You still haven't told me which aircraft you're using the weapons you have problems with on. If it's an early 3rd party aircraft you might need to patch the MDL file with the MDL Converter tool for external weapons to show up.
