This is the only souce of help I ever used when trying to learn the mission builder program and I must say it is great.  I deffinately also recomend this tutorial-it is very well done.

By the way, it is also available here at SimV in downloadable form http://www.simviation.com/cfs2misc2.htm or in website form http://www.simviation.com/lair/ccmbintro1.htm.  He also did a tutorial that shows you how to link your already made missions into a campaign here: http://www.simviation.com/cfs2utilities1.htm.

I reformatted Cody's tute with his approval so you can read it online. It's posted at my Lair. http://www.simviation.com/lair/ccmbintro1.htm

PS. Sorry Richie, I see you already posted the link. I don't think there's any need to spend out on a book.

Guys whether you spen money or not is your choice. But I beleive there is nothing like a book to read to improve your learning abilities.

The more information you have the better you may become in developing your skill in Building missions. The better you may like this program.

I do not have any connection to the Arthur. My only desire is to improve evreyones abilities to build missions.

Heck I"am still learning on how to improve my mission building skills.

This message is for those who are starting to learn to build missions. The secret and the most complex part about it , is the Triger and Event. Once you understand this concept you almost ready to start building your missions.

If you have any question I"am sure most members will we more than ready to help you out.

Oh, I agree with you that the more information you have the better off you will be and there's nothing like a book (in fact, when I first got it I printed off Cody's tutorial and put it in a binder so I could read it while in the mission builder without having to switch screens).

I'm no mission builder myself. I don't have the imagination for a start. This is one of the most important talents for creating good missions & you won't get far without it. Tom Sanford who creates all the Fox Four missions is one of the best I know. He learned his trade from Cody's tutes & speaks very highly of them. I haven't read this book & it's probably very good. From what I saw when reformatting Cody's tute it includes everything you need to know to get started. It's written in a way that even I could understand. The rest is down to you & your imagination. ;)

The funny thing is, thats the exact opposite reason I started building missions (even though I don't do them anymore).  When CFS2 was new, I really wanted to design planes for the game but didn't seem to have the ability to learn the design programs-no matter how hard I tried (I had both FSDS and GMAX).  So, I downloaded Cody's tutorial and began to play with the mission builder.  Before long, I was building missions with pretty good success.  I always thought it was one of the easier of the addons to build-maybe I was wrong.

I can create a simple mission by following Cody's tute but it's the important little details I'm no good at. I think that this is what make the difference between a mediocre & good mission that others can enjoy. You wouldn't believe how much time Tom spends over his campaigns. One mission is difficult enough but creating a whole campaign & making it varied enough to retain people's interest is quite a task. Tom's latest campaign involves 38 missions which we're beginning to think might be a few too many.

Thats what makes this community so great. We all have different talents and different abilities. But we all like to help each other.

You guys have help a bunch of folks your self. I hope I have been able to help a few my self. I have been by you and others as well.

This way we can all enjoy this hobby a lot more.

There is nothing greater than for the greater good one helps others without expecting any reward for the help offer.

It's actually quite easy to upload them but there are some requirements.  Pete requires that they are in a zip file and contain a couple info files inside like the "readme" and such-nothing too hard.  It's all explained right here: http://www.simviation.com/upload.html.

I always loved uploading my stuff.  You get all kinds of support from people who try it-its really neat.
