I want to know what paint program to get to do textures. How to print numbers and letters. MS Paint that comes with XP is not good.
Thanks, Tom

I use Adobe Photoshop for texture alterations but you will need a program to Convert the textures to a format that photoshop can deal with.  For this I use DxtBmp (I think, it's been a while since I tried to paint stuff).  Try searching on google.

They say that any paint program is enough but the clever folks who do reflecting stuff know about layers and will be able to give better advice.  Try some of the threads in:

Pixia is unrestricted freeware & has all the features you need for repainting textures. Like any other advanced graphics editor you would need to learn how to use it. It's posted here at SimV. http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_utilities.htm
DXTBmp is on the same page.
Check out the home sites of both for updates & latest versions.
